So, we are headed to Scotland for two weeks this coming Saturday. This is a picture of my most amazing and intensely missed grandfather standing on Lendrum farm (our namesake…somewhere along the way it was changed to Landrum). I can’t tell you how excited I am. I will be spending time with my family AND Corey’s family. My wonderful nieces will be there and seriously, the only thing missing will be Elvis. Corey and I are even going to see The Vaselines play in their native land. Oh, the countdown is truly on!
Loving Project Runway
I was a true devotee of Project Runway for quite a long time. But I must admit that the move to Lifetime was a bit jarring. So recently, while at home sick with a cold, I decided to try out the new season and watched all of the episodes on demand. This season is SO GOOD. The drama is high and the designer that I was originally a big fan of, Gretchen (seen above), has shown herself to be a little bit of a diva. You must see it to believe it but things got to such a boiling point this past week that Tim Gunn actually called her out for her sour behavior. But the thing about it is, she’s really got talent and I would wear anything she makes. Such is the beauty and the beast of reality TV!
Killer Family Photo
This is my late grandmother, Edith aka Grandmama, taking it easy in her pool. I love this picture. The colors, her swimming cap, her skinny little legs, how relaxed she looks. It makes me miss her. She was a hoot. And she loved her pool. On a hot day, I wish I was in there with her!

This is Diane Lane. She was 15 and starred in a cult classic about an all-girl punk band called Ladies & Gentlemen, The Fabulous Stains. It is a ridiculous film that is full of awkward moments but her attitude and pure style make the movie absolutely awesome. I recommend it…highly.
